I am trying to research my Grandmother's mother's side of the family. My Gr.Grandmother, Lena Hunzinger married Henri Finck. Lena died when 8 months pregnant with her 6th child of the Spanish Flu in 1918 in Iowa.My Grandma Florance was 12 at the time.Lena's family, went to Iowa and brought her back to Secor where they placed her with her side of the family. The Finck's are buried in Gridley.
We don't know much of the Hunzinger side of the family. All the kids after her death were split up and never brought back together until they were grown. Would very much like to get a more complete lineage on this side before my own mother passes away. She has always wanted to know more about this side of the family and maybe even contact some if they so choose to do so. We have only one picture of Lena that my grandmother was able to hang onto after her death. Please feel free to email me with any info.
