I was born in 1943, have been doing genealogy since 1973, mostly on the Barber family. I spent a long time on the family of George Barber and his wife Margaret Watkins of Oglethorpe County, Georgia and his service in the Revolutionary War.
Then I discovered it was not my Barber family at all. LOL My Barber family originates with James Barber and his wife Penelope who were in Clarke County, Georgia by 1803. Then they go to Alabama, Texas and Oklahoma.
