I am a genealogy addict! I love looking into the past. I love this website! It has helped me with my research and has allowed me to help others. It has helped by letting me request and receiving pictures of family grave sites and also corrections by my findagrave friends when I have something wrong.
I think one of the best helps was a kind man that walked a cemetery in Chicago to find my 2nd great-grandfather's grave site. Unfortunately, his immediate family never placed a headstone. Instead of sending me that news alone, he was kind enough to take a picture and then used photoshop to place XXXX on the spot where my relative was laid to rest. That was so awesome! So, if that ever happens to me finding no headstone, I will take that extra few steps for that request. I just received word this last week that no markers were put on 2 family graves in California...since I'm in Florida that kind gesture would have been nice. But, I love that they still took the time to go look for me.
