I became interested in genealogy in a strange way. I became addicted to a movie that I watched hundreds of times. I realized what I enjoyed about the movie was the scenery. I researched where it was filmed and found out my great, great grandfather and family lived near there before they came to Michigan. Also my mom's family came from the same county in New York.
