Born in Shreveport, LA to Beulah Kirkland Sanders and Raymond Edwin Sanders, Sr. Spent early childhood there and in Provencal LA with my mother and beloved grandparents - Edwin and Emma Sanders while my daddy served in the Army during WWII. Grew up in Natchitoches, LA.

Married Leticia (Tish) Soriano Pilola and moved to Lake Charles, LA after graduation from Northwestern State College. We raised a family of 5 children while I taught and worked in administrative positions for Calcasieu Parish Schools for 32 years. Tish was a nursing instructor at McNeese State University for 20 years. After my retirement in 1996, moved to San Antonio, TX to work for Edgewood Independent School District. Retired in 2008 after serving as an administrator there for 12 years. Tish and I have moved back to Lake Charles, LA to be closer with family

Now have time to begin earnest research on my family and related hobby of editing many videos and pictures of my family. Unfortunately, have a number of unidentified photos, probably from the Sanders, Leggett and Kirkland families to whom I am related
