Bio

Christian husband and father of three, US Army Veteran, Historian, Writer and Genealogist. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Columbia College.

I am the Founder/Past President and founder of the South-Central Missouri Civil War Round Table, former Graves Registration Officer of Old Abe Camp #16 Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War and a member of the Cold War Veterans Association

I began my interest in genealogy while searching for my ancestors who may or may not have served in the Civil War. My paternal line resided in Southeast Missouri, Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin and has been traced back to the mid 1600's. My maternal line mainly resided in Illinois and came from Germany/Poland shortly before WWII.

I am originally from the St Louis area, Collinsville IL. to be exact, spent 10 years in the south-central portion of Missouri in Pulaski County and currently reside in Topeka, KS.

My current project is categorizing all the Civil War soldiers in Shawnee County and their final resting places. I am also completing a list of Civil War soldiers at Rochester Cemetery in North Topeka.
