Bio

I live in the Oklahoma City suburbs and photograph cemeteries in northwest Oklahoma County and adjacent counties. I am pleased to transfer management of any -local- memorials I have created to family members. I do not have local ancestors and I have created these memorials solely as a public service to the genealogy community. I am also happy to edit memorials on request--simply use the "suggest edits" button. Please do give the source for your information, so that we can make Find A Grave as accurate as possible, and so that we may give credit where credit is due.

A few people have expressed curiosity about my connection to Lockridge, so I thought I'd add a note here:
Back in 2009, I decided to combine my interests in photography and genealogy in a sort of genealogical service project--documenting all the monuments in a small country cemetery in the far northwestern corner of Oklahoma County, Oklahoma. The rural community of Lockridge was named after the ridge of higher ground near where the four corners of Logan, Oklahoma, Canadian and Kingfisher counties (L-O-C-K) came together. Many of the farm families in the area were Roman Catholics of Irish descent, and the heart of community life was St. Patrick's church. The adjacent cemetery remains, and is known by both names: Lockridge & St. Patrick. I have no ties to the cemetery other than loving the peaceful beauty of it and wanting to share it with the world.
