Bio

I have only been doing genealogy research since late 2007 but am absolutely fascinated by all of the possibilities. I started with my own family tree of course, but have learned so much already in doing it that I'm sure this will be a lifelong hobby for me. The idea that you can walk through history both literally (in a cemetery) and figuratively (through cyberspace) is amazing to me and even my family members who thought I was just wasting time are now interested in what I'm doing.

This summer, my mother and I walked through many cemeteries to take pictures of family grave markers and that's when I realized how important the Find a Grave website is. A friend had told me about it, but I didn't understand the significance until I walked those cemeteries for two full days gathering over 200 pictures. I decided if I could help someone else to find their family in this way - I would do it. So I returned to this website to volunteer to take pictures in my area. I'm so glad I did. Hopefully I will be able to help others in their search.
