I have been doing Schnauffer-Snouffer genealogy for many years, mainly in (central) Ohio, but also traveling to Kansas in the west to Maryland in the east. I am a 14th generation Snouffer (father Paul, gf Stanley, g gf Joseph W., gg gf George W., ggg gf John, and gggg gf Johann Thomas, ggggg gf Hans Michael, who are buried in Westminster , Md.). My Schnauffer-Snouffers came to America in 1751, landed in Philadelphia aboard the "Nancy" ; and soon moved to northern Maryland. My ggg gm Mary came to Ohio in 1832 with 5 boys and 2 daughters. We originally hailed from Rennigen, Germany.
