My wife, Doris [GIRTY] Prichard and I are researching our GIRTY and PRICHARD family lines.

Presently, our interest is in the SNAKE GIRTY CEMETERY, located 8 miles south of Webbers Falls in Muskogee County, Oklahoma. Snake Girty is Doris' great grandfather, a member of the Tribal Council of the Cherokee Nation in the late 1800s. Snake and Doris' great grandmother, Kahugunstah are buried there along with Doris' grandmother, Martha Ann (Barnett) and other family members.
