Bio

I was born in Mayfield, KY. My family moved to Portland, Oregon when I was twelve. I have always been interested in my mother's stories of her childhood in rural Missouri. Now that my children are grown and I have a bit more time I have enjoyed traveling and studying our family history. Louis Sanford Lee was the grandfather I never met because he died when my mother was eight. He was 30 years older than my grandmother so very little was known about his family. My mother had to sit in courthouses looking at census records to study her family geneology. It has been so much easier for me living in the age of the internet. In 2009 I finally met my grandfather's grave stone and through ancestry.com I have uncovered some fascinating things about the Lee family.

I am a retired elementary music teacher. I have two daughters and four grandchildren. I am married to a dentist.
