Bio
I was born and raised in Attala County, Mississippi, , Ethel and McCool. I am the daughter of Gerard Bowie and Eula Mae Steed Bowie. I was married to J. W. (Snapper ) Hurt until his death in 1971. We had six children, three boys and three girls. I live in Conroe Texas now and all my children live close by me except my youngest daughter, who lives in Philadelphia MS. I do research on the following: Bowie/Steed, Hurt/Mangrum from Miss, Ala. & S.C..
I also help a friend with her research on Morgan/Whitlock (Ala. & Texas), Chandler/
Van Ness(Texas) families.
