Bio

Although I have been a member and researcher of Find a Grave for many years I am just now finding the time to add and compile a group of memorials for my family. My parents are both alive but in their late 80's and I have come to the conclusion that their vault of information may be closing sooner than I would like. For that reason I am making an effort to help them document for me and posterity information on their now deceased ancestors. To that end I have helped them also register as members. As my mother does still use a computer, I am attempting to provide them a way of visiting the cemeteries of their loved ones online as traveling is becoming more difficult. I thank those members of F.A.G. who have helped to make that possible.
At first my entries were close family members, but I have now been walking the cemeteries and adding others. I try to make each memorial as accurate and complete as possible without adding anything that would offend the family. My goal is to respect and acknowledge their memory. If I have under my management a member of anyone's family or for that matter a friend, please contact me and tell me why you would like to manage it and I will try to transfer it to you. If you have info to add that is appropriate, I will add it for you ASAP. I am new to some of these processes but will try to do my best. I have been doing a virtual cemetery of my high school classmates and am trying to manage as many of those as possible so that I can add memories from friends.

Although the F.A.G has guidelines, I believe there is no reason to selfishly keep management of a memorial of someone who you were not even acquainted with just to increase your personal numbers. I think that the QUALITY of the memorials is as important if not more so than the QUANTITY. I do not think this site should be a competition. I do realize there are people who do a great deal of work to add to this site but I feel sorry for anyone who is doing it solely for their own glory. That will never be my purpose.

I am also going to try to fulfill some photo requests for my nearby cemeteries.

The photo I have of me is from high school, I thought it only fair that if I was posting photos of my dearly departed classmates from that time period I show mine also. In reality I am much older and much better looking. HA HA.
