I became interested in Genealogy after my father died in 1982. Heard my grandfather say how his Papa came down the Shenandoah Valley to Tennessee. That is all I had to go on. I did know where my grandfather and grandmother were buried; his Dad and Mother were buried beside them in the cemetery in Tennessee. You just never know what a tid bit of information can lead you to find.

I spent so much money and time writing letters to court houses. To see where my great grandparents married. Finally after a year or so I got a marriage record for them from Wythe Co, VA. That opened it all up for me. I took my vacations there for years.

I love my family dearly...and have found that most of my family have already been put on Find-A-Grave. But there are so many things left blank or just plain wrong. I have been working 3 years continually on Ancestry trying to put my family on there. What a task it has been I have 40,000 names in my maiden name alone.
