Bio

I am the mother of 3 kids and happily married for 18 yrs. I have been into genealogy some 20 yrs now but with both grandparents passed, no oral family history, without the access of the internet and all these fabulous sites.I have only been able to begin getting serious. Within this past year I have managed to find a step sibling, the other side of my maternal grandfathers family(siblings and their decendents and my maternal grandmothers family, with extended family from Canada and England.

I had no idea where to start so it started with ancestry.com and vitalrecords.com of which I found this site. and couldn't be more grateful. I had in my possesion a mystery photo of a serviceman's gravemarker. I knew he was related somehow but could find no proof how. Well I gave findagrave a shot and learned whom and where my mystery man was. I have since been brave enough to even email the Prime Minister of Canada requesting more info and received a wealth of information with the return reply. Now I am able to place who he was and how related and even how and when he passed. I am honored to have several military persons in my family and finding another has been exciting. If I am able to visit any family cemeteties I am planning on photgraphing as many as I am able, to help contribute to this site in hopes of helping another in their quest with genealogy.
