Bio

A genealogist since 1962 my interest's besides my own family lines, includes the early pioneers of the Reed City, Michigan area, including both Lake and Osceola Counties. My great grandparents and GG grandparents were homesteaders in Lake County arriving before Reed City even existed. I have done extensive study on this area, its families, railroads and one room schoolhouses.
I am the direct descendant of 9 Mayflower passengers, 6 King Philps (Indian) War soldiers, 9 French and Indian Wars soldiers (some from each side), 2 Loyalist soldiers, 5 Revolutionary War soldiers, 2 War of 1812 soldiers, and 3 Civil War soldiers. Also the descendant of a Sicilian immigrant whose family traces it linage back to the invasion of Sicily by the Spanish in the late 1500's, and a German immigrant seeking asylum from Prussian dominance in the mid 1800's.
I am a true product of the American smorgasbord of peoples and nationalities. Like many others I did not come on the boat, but my relatives did and met my relatives when they arrived.
