Bio

I was born in Texas. After my father died I found a list of his ancestors in his paper files. There were 5 generations with birth, marriage and deaths dating back to the 1700s. That started my life in the genealogy room at our city library. I've spent hours of research at a couple of State Archives and ordered many records from court houses and libraries and also had the opportunity to visit a few cemeteries. Then came Ancestry.com and other online research. Finding my paternal ancestors who had migrated across the South was like writing my own "Gone with the Wind" story. I had help with my maternal side from my mother's two sisters. I found early settlers of Kentucky and the Baptist preachers who came to Texas.

There have been many distant cousins who became my email friends and consultants along the way since 1992. And, I want to thank those of you, who on findagrave.com, have so graciously granted me transfers of my family and provided pictues of grave markers. I am only interested in sharing my family history and adding pictures to their memorials. I think it will be interesting to all my relatives and their descendants now and someday.
