I'm a transplant from Northern Colorado to Eastern Kansas. My wife and I bought a house directly across from a rural cemetery which is named after the original homesteader of our area, Silas Whiteford. Actually, we live in his old 1890 farmhouse and are gradually restoring it. I found out about this website and decided to try to add all the identifiable graves in the Whiteford Cemetery to it starting this Spring. It's been great meeting other people through this site who have the same interests. As we have no plans on moving anytime soon, Lord willing, we plan on buying plots in the Whiteford Cemetery where we will wait for Him to return for us.
