I guess I should have posted my "short" bio a couple of years back when I first posted pictures of the Old Sides Cemetary in Cape Girardeau County; just north of Oak Ridge, MO.

I grew up in Madison County; over near Fredericktown but didn't realize my Hinkle / Clodfelter ancestors were buried down near old Appleton / Oak Ridge area until I was an adult and living in another state. I try to visit the old cemetery ever year or so but it deteriorates more each trip. Another cousin and I have mown it a few times, installed a light fence, etc. but it's obvious that we'll eventually lose the battle to the cattle and other elements as we've found no local folks who have close ancestry there and/or the ways and means to provide any better care!
