My name is Eduarda Sahlit, from the Sahlit family branch that left Latvia (former USSR) around 1900 and came to Brazil. My great grandfather (John Salit) stayed in Brazil with his parents (John and Eve). However, John´s 2 younger brothers - Peter Salit and Charles Salit - left Brazil to live in the US. I found Anna Sahlit´s burial record at the Golden Gate National Cemetery, CA. I still don´t know if we are directly related, since I´ve just begun my research, but I really believe we are connected in some way. I would appreciate receiving ANY information on SAHLITs and also on SALITs (notice that from one generation to the next, names could change, and in future generations they could change back to the original).
