I joined Find A Grave to aid in personal genealogy research which I have been doing since the 1970's and found myself getting more involved by trying to fulfill photo requests of others or adding photos (when asked) to provide a better angle than some existing images. Not to be critical of well-intended efforts of others but shooting downward and off to the side of a grave marker doesn't do it any justice. A suggestion would be to get the camera down to the same level as the marker and straight on. Digital SLR cameras..... turn the automatic setting off.
