I was born in Toms River, NJ, 1943. My grandmother was Eva Luker, and my 7th great grandfather was Thomas Luker, who came to Toms River around 1685 (then called "Goose Creek"). He married the Chieftain's daughter Princess Ann and ferried people across the river which later took on his name, Tom's River. Later him or his son Daniel would build the first bridge to cross the river. This is the town I loved as a boy and is in my heart today. I have always been interested in my "Luker" family history and the town, and I'm happy to share information and photos with others. I am retired and live in Florida.
