My name is Michael Jobes. I have been doing genealogy for almost thirty years. Primary focus is on my Jobes lineage, but have been doing extensive research on all the descendants of my Revolutionary War veteran, William Jobes, Corporal, Yard's Company 2nd New Jersey Continental Line. (my primary file has over 10,000 names). I am also researching all the other Jobes, who have lived in this country, trying to connect the lines back to the original two Jobes men, John and George of circa 1670 Monmouth county, New Jersey.
