Bio

Born Halfway, Oregon, grew up in California (the picture is from my Mom's family's ranch in California - I lived there for a while as a small child, and go back every chance I get).

Dad descended from pioneers from Indiana and West Virginia, who moved westward to Oregon to farm and escape the coal mines.

Mom's family descended from pioneers from Missouri, who moved to California to build a new life farming and ranching.

I feel blessed. Between the two families, I have a treasure of old photographs available, some going back more than 150 years. I can trace every line of my heritage back to great great grandparents, including some born across the ocean, and some lines even further back. I suspect few people can say that, and I wish they could, so whenever I have the opportunity I try to provide what little information I can to people looking for it because so many others have helped me in my searches.

Some call it "Pay it Forward." That works for me, so if you've read this far into my little bio, please do me the favor of paying it forward.
