Bio

I was born in Mercer, MO in 1965. Most of my growing up was spent in Des Moines, IA. I graduated from Drake University and pursued graduate studies at Drake and The University of
Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences (UOMHS - [now Des Moines University]). I have worked in healthcare for most of my career. I am a Mason
(and attend funerals for members of that organization). I am involved in the local Episcopal church. My wife and I met nine years ago. We both have the eye condition nystagmus
(an involuntary oscilation of the eyes). We while I was doing some volunteer work for American Nystagmus Network, Inc.(ANN,Inc.).
You can visit its website at http//:www.nystagmus.org . My step-daughter is a very wonderful person who loves animails - especially the strange but necessary ones - reptiles.

Many of my extended family members died while I was young. That may be what piqued my interest in cemetaries. While in school, I used to tell my mother that after my parents' names I was going to list the name of a particular ceme-tery on my school's emergency contact sheet. That was due to the fact that most of my extended family was there. Before we met, both my wife frequented this site. That was because we each figured that we would never get to travel to a lot of the graves of famous people.
Thanks to the record for my great grandfather
The Hon. John Andrew Martin, an e-mail came to me from a WONDERFUL cousin I previosly did not know I had. So, THANK YOU Find A Grave !!!
