Carolyn Denise Maddox was born in Dallas, Dallas County, TX, the daughter of Dennis Lavon Maddox & Gwendolyn Lorraine Carter. Denise graduated from Bryan Adams High School in Dallas, TX and attended Texas Woman's University in Denton, TX. She has resided in TX for her entire life and is proud of being a 6th generation Texan. Her genealogy interest was inspired by an uncle, Paul Dumby Maddox (1913-1999), in the late 1970's. From there interest in genealogy has grown more into assisting others in their research, and volunteering with cemetery restoration.
