Hi, my name is Lucy Buhlmann. My husband Ray and I, and our two surviving sons Steven and Matthew have suffered the greatest loss of our lives....
Our baby son David. On the morning he was born and went to Heaven, we lost our whole future with him. It would have been so great to have been blessed to be able to watch him grow up and become a great person, as Steven-25 yrs old & Matthew-10 yrs old are today. I know I am greatly blessed, but I want more...I want my son back! I know how much we lost that day, because I look at Steven and Matthew and I know how beautiful they are and what wonderful little christians they are. I know baby David would have grown up to be just like them. Ray & I also know, our family did not go through this for nothing. In Jesus' name, something good always comes from something horrible if you can clear the tears away, enough to be able to see! So, from that disaster, Ray and I started attending a non-profit, self help group called "The Compassionate Friends". (www.thecompassionatefriends.org)They have helped us so much. Now, after 7 years of walking, and many times, crawling, the long and winding road called "grief", we now help other parents who are trying to figure out who they are, now that their child had passed away. So, we now are giving back the best way we know how, and we do this in memory of our sweet baby son DAVID.
