Yarkoni, Yaffa b. December 25, 1925 d. January 1, 2012 Singer. Called the "War Singer", she shall be remembered for literally countless performances for Israeli military troops. Born Yaffa Abramov at Giv'at Rambam in what was then British Palestine, she studied ballet as a young girl and married for the first time in her teens though her husband was to be killed during 1945 combat in Italy. Yonatan (Klein), Natan b. September 20, 1923 d. March 12, 2004 Israeli Poet. Best known for "That Man," an ode to assassinated Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin that was set to music in 1995 and widely played.
