Connor, James Phillip b. January 12, 1919 d. July 27, 1994 World War II Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Sergeant in the US Army in Battle Patrol, 7th Infantry, 3d Infantry Division. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for action at Cape Cavalaire, Southern France on August 15, 1944. Davis, Robert "Brandy" b. September 10, 1928 d. June 12, 2005 Major League Baseball Player. Some references give his birthdate as 1927. The outfielder served in the Marines before signing with the Pittsburgh Pirates and making his debut in 1952. He was one of the fastest runners in baseball, but he had trouble getting to first base. Ferrell, Howard Toots Leroy b. 1929 d. October 11, 2002 Negro League Baseball Player. Delaware Hall of Fame member. Howard was a member of the Negro League teams the Newark Eagles, Baltimore Elite Giants, and the Chicago American Giants. He served in the military during the Korean War. It was while playing in an Army League football game that Howard injured his shoulder, ending his career as a baseball player.
