Matienzo, Lieut. Benjamín b. April 9, 1891 d. May 28, 1919 Argentine Aviation Pioneer. He lost his life attempting to cross the Andes Cordillera. His body was recovered six months later at 4,000 meters above sea level and his plane, a Nieuport, was found and recovered in 1950. Mora, Lola b. November 17, 1866 d. June 7, 1936 Sculptor. Born Dolores Candelaria Mora Vega, she is considered the of of the most important sculptors in Argentina's history. At age 20 she began studying art in Tucuman with the Italian painter Santiago Falcucci, but then she moved to Italy, where her principal teacher was to the celebrated Italian sculptor Giulio Monteverde.
