Chapman, Edward Thomas b. January 13, 1920 d. February 3, 2002 World War II Victoria Cross Medal Recipient. Born in Pontlottyn, Glamorgan, he served as a Corporal in the 3rd Battalion, Monmouthshire Regiment. On April 2, 1945, Corporal Chapman's company was ordered to assault the enemy ridge at Teutoberger Wald, Germany. Williams (Fielding), John b. May 24, 1857 d. November 25, 1932 Zulu Wars Victoria Cross Medal Recipient. Born John Fielding, he served as a Private in the 24th Regiment, South Wales Borderers. On January 22 and 23, 1879, at Rorke's Drift, Natal, Africa, Private Williams with two other men were in a distant room of the hospital when the Zulus attacked.
