Santa Mafalda b. 1197 d. May 1, 1257 Portugese Royalty. Born Mafalda de Portugal the daughter of Sancho I de Bourgogne of Portugal and Dulcia of Provence. In 1215, she married Enrique I King of Castilla, but there is doubt that the marriage was ever consumated. It was, in any case, annulled the following year due to consanguinity.
