Hulme, Alfred Clive b. January 24, 1911 d. September 2, 1982 World War II Victoria Cross Medal Recipient. He served as a Sergeant in the 23rd Battalion of the 2nd Canterbury Regiment. At Maleme, Crete, during the dates of May 20 to 28, 1941, Sergeant Hulme, stalked and killed 33 German snipers. During the same time frame on the outskirts of Galatos, he also disguised himself as a German paratrooper and killed a number of enemy. Hulme, Dennis b. June 18, 1936 d. October 4, 1992 Formula One Driver. 1967 Formula One World Champion, driving a Brabham. In the category started 112 races, won 8, with 33 podiums and 9 fastest laps.
