Bowman, Stan b. October 29, 1929 d. June 22, 1962 Race car driver. His skills had earned him an opportunity to enter the 1963 Indianapolis 500 with a competitive team. Those plans were tragically interrupted when he was critically injured at the Terre Haute (IN) "Action Track." He lost his struggle for life in the hospital a few days later. (Bio by: Warrick L. Gardner, Frank b. May 8, 1872 d. February 1, 1937 US Congressman. Elected to represent Indiana's 3rd District in the United States House of Representatives, he served from 1923 to 1929.
