Landes, Silas Zephaniah b. May 15, 1842 d. May 22, 1910 US Congressman. He was admitted to the bar by the Supreme Court of Illinois in 1863 and was prosecuting attorney of Wabash County, 1872 to 1884. In 1885, he was elected as a Democrat to the Forty-ninth and Fiftieth Congresses, serving until 1889. He declined to be a candidate for re-nomination and resumed the practice of law. Liddle, Don b. May 25, 1925 d. June 5, 2000 Major League Baseball Player. He was a pitcher in four seasons (1953 to 1956) for the Milwaukee Braves, New York Giants and St.Louis Cardinals. He was a member of the 1954 World Champion Giants. During that series, Liddle won one game and posted a 1.29 ERA against the Indians.
