Garman, Harold Alva b. February 26, 1918 d. August 13, 1992 World War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Private in the United States Army in Company B, 5th Medical Battalion, 5th Infantry Division. He was awarded the CMOH for action on August 25, 1944 near Montereau, France. His citation in part reads "Seeing the extreme danger of these patients, Pvt Garman without a monent's hesitation plunged into the Seine River.
