Hughes, Robert Earl b. June 4, 1926 d. July 10, 1958 Folk Personality. The American Medical Association listed the six-foot Hughes to be the heaviest human being ever. At the age of 6, he weighed 203lbs, at age 10, he weighed 378lbs and at age 25, he weighed 896lbs. On July 10, 1958, the 32 year old Hughes contracted measles that developed into uremia and he soon died. At his death he weighed between 1,041 to 1,069lbs. Lucas, George Washington b. 1845 d. May 17, 1921 Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Private in the Union Army in Company C, 3d Missouri Cavalry. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for action on July 25, 1864 at Benton, Arkansas. His citation reads "Pursued and killed Confederate Brig. Gen.
