Ainsworth, Lucien Lester b. June 21, 1831 d. April 19, 1902 US Congressman. He attended the New York public schools and studied law at Oneida Conference Seminary in Cazenovia, New York. He was admitted to the New York bar in 1854 and moved to Illinois where he established a law practice. He moved to Iowa and continued to practice law in West Union. He entered politics and was elected to the Iowa state senate in 1860. Goldsbery, Andrew E. b. September 25, 1840 d. December 27, 1910 Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. Awarded for action as Private, Co. E, 127th Illinois Infantry at Vicksburg, Miss., on May 22, 1863. His citation reads: "Gallantry in the charge of the 'volunteer storming party.'" Larrabee, William b. January 20, 1832 d. November 16, 1912 Iowa Governor. Served in the Iowa State Senate from 1868 to 1885 and Governor of the state from 1886 to 1890. He was the first governor to serve a full term in the new Capital building in Des Moines. Between 1872 and 1885, he had financial interest with more than a dozen different banks in Iowa, Minnesota and North Dakota. After his second term as Governor, he retired to Clermont, Iowa.
