Fanck, Arnold b. March 6, 1889 d. September 28, 1974 Motion Picture Director. He was characterized as a martinet by a number of actors who he directed. His actors often suffered bruises, cuts and injuries as a result of being in some of his films. He did not believe in stand-in's for actors and made it known the actors would be doing their own stunts. He made a number of documentary and action films that were inspired by his love of geology. Husserl, Edmund Gustav Albrecht b. April 8, 1859 d. April 26, 1938 Philosopher. The father of Phenomenology, he is considered one of the finest philosophic mind of the 20th Century.
