Bugatti, Ettore b. September 15, 1881 d. August 21, 1947 Automotive Pioneer. Ettore Bugatti was born in Milan to a family of talented artists. He worked for several car makers during his youth, and later started his own company in Molsheim in 1910. His work was characterized for the combination of advanced engineering and an artistic execution of technical details. His creations are considerated art by automotive experts. His racing and sports cars are still among the best in the automobile industry. Kleber, Jean Baptiste [ashes] b. March 9, 1753 d. June 14, 1800 French Army General. Starting in the ranks of the French Revolutionary Army, he rose to be one of its most successful generals (Vendee, Heliopolis). In 1799 he was placed in command of the army in Egypt by the returning Napoleon. Shortly afterwards in Cairo he was assassinated in mysterious circumstances. Maurice de Saxe b. 1696 d. 1750 son of Augustus the Strong of Saxony, and one of the leading generals of Louis XV of France. In particular he won the decisive victory of Fontenoy. As he was a foreigner, a bastard and a Protestant, Louis could not have him buried, as he wished, in one of the leading churches in Paris. Stadler, Ernst b. August 8, 1883 d. October 30, 1914 Poet. He is considered one of the three leading figures of early German Expressionism. Unlike the work of his compatriots Georg Heym and Georg Trakl, Stadler's poetry favors intellectual probing over despair, and is often musical in its lyrical effect. His verse appeared in two volumes, "Preludes" (1905) and "The Departure" (1914). Stadler was born in Colmar, Germany.
