Bronson, Isaac Hopkins b. October 16, 1802 d. August 13, 1855 US Congressman, Jurist. Elected as a Democrat representing New York in the Twenty-fifth Congress, he served from 1837 to 1839. Chester, George Foote b. January 28, 1828 d. December 19, 1889 Civil War Union Army Officer. An 1846 graduate of Yale University, he was an educator and lawyer before the war. On April 21, 1861, nine days after the firing on Fort Sumter, this native southerner join the Union cause as a private in Company H, of the 71st New York Militia.
