Butterfield, Franklin George b. May 11, 1842 d. January 6, 1916 Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. Served in the Civil War as the First Lieutenant of Company C, 6th Vermont Volunteer Infantry. He was awarded the CMOH for his bravery at Salem Heights, Virginia during the Battle of Chancellorsville on May 4, 1863.
