Anderson, George Washington b. May 22, 1822 d. February 26, 1902 US Congressman. He served in the Union Army during the Civil War, first as Colonel and commander of the Pike County Missouri Home Guards, then as Colonel and commander of the 49th Enrolled Missouri Militia. Fox, Arnim L. 'Curly' b. November 9, 1910 d. November 10, 1995 Country Musician. Bluegrass fiddler. He was known to be one of the great bluegrass musicians of all time. He had never had formal music training in his life and never learned to read music. He appeared on the Grand O' Opry for over 30 years. He had performed at all the famed concert halls of North American and Europe. Meigs Sr., Col. Return Jonathan b. December 19, 1740 d. January 28, 1823 Revolutionary War Officer and Indian Agent. He was originally serving in the local militia as a captain, but after the Battle of Lexington he led a company of light infantry to Boston where he was made a major in the Continental Army. He was a division commander under Benedict Arnold who he accompanied on his expedition through Maine to Canada.
