Jemison, Mary b. 1743 d. September 19, 1833 Legendary Colonial Frontierswoman. Known as "The White Woman of the Genesee." Born on the ship William and Mary en route from Northern Ireland to America, Mary was the daughter of Thomas and Jane Jemison. The family settled in Pennsylvania, near modern day Gettysburg. Prey, Gilbert Gibson b. August 12, 1822 d. February 6, 1903 Civil War Union Army Officer. He served during the Civil War in the 104th New York Volunteer Infantry, rising from Major to Colonel, and commanding it in Battles such as Gettysburg and The Wilderness.
