Sandoz, Mari (Mary) 'Marie' b. 1901 d. March 10, 1966 Author. She wrote stories on the subjects of the Indian plains and white and Indian relations. Her books include, "Crazy Horse" (1942) and "Cheyenne Autumn" (1953), which was turned into a movie in 1964 and was directed by John Ford.
