While traveling as an advance man for a circus in Arizona, he was stopped on the highway 17 miles south of Florence by a flagman and warned about roadwork in progress to repair a washed out bridge. Oury, Capt. Granville Henderson b. March 12, 1825 d. January 11, 1891 US Congressman. At age 11 he and his family moved to Bowling Green, Missouri where he went to school, studied law, and was admitted to the bar in 1848. He then went through a series of moves that included San Antonio, Texas and Marysville, California in 1849 and to Tucson, Arizona in 1856. He was a judge of the district court for Arizona and New Mexico in Mesilla, New Mexico.
