Clark, Gene b. November 17, 1944 d. May 24, 1991 Musician. Born Harold Eugene Clark in Tipton, Missouri, he was one of folk rock's most important innovators during the mid-1960s. In 1963, he was a member of the ‘New Christy Minstrals' when he relocated to Los Angeles, in 1964. There with guitar player Roger McGuinn, he founded his group ‘The Byrds'. Rice, Theron Moses b. September 21, 1829 d. November 7, 1895 US Congressman. He served as an officer in the Union Army during the Civil War, rising from 1st Lieutenant and Regimental Adjutant to Captain of Company H, 26th Missouri Volunteer Infantry. He was elected as a member of the Greenback Party to represent Missouri's 7th Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1881 to 1893.
