  US Figure Skater. He had been a member of the 1960 World team. He and his partner Dona Lee Carrier had been the runners up for the 1961 US and North American Dance competition. They perished along with the entire US Figure Skating Team in a plane crash en route to the Worlds Figure Skating Championship in Prague, Czechoslovakia. (Bio by: Stephanie)

  US Congressman, US Senator. Elected to represent Kentucky's 2nd District in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1952 to 1953. Also served as a Member of the Kentucky State Legislature, and United States Senator from Kentucky from 1949 to 1950.

• Woodring, Horace Lynn    b. September 30, 1926  d. November 2, 2003
  Military figure. He was the driver of General Patton's Cadillac limousine in Germany on December 9, 1945 when a truck turned in front of the car and Patton was thrown from the back seat and into a steel partition breaking his neck. He died 12 days later. Wooding was a 19-year-old Army private first class when he sustained frostbite during 30 days on the front line in Europe.
