Hulme, Alfred Clive b. January 24, 1911 d. September 2, 1982 World War II Victoria Cross Medal Recipient. He served as a Sergeant in the 23rd Battalion of the 2nd Canterbury Regiment. At Maleme, Crete, during the dates of May 20 to 28, 1941, Sergeant Hulme, stalked and killed 33 German snipers. During the same time frame on the outskirts of Galatos, he also disguised himself as a German paratrooper and killed a number of enemy. January 15, 1951 "America's most popular expositor," Dr. Ironside was a minister of the gospel for over 60 years, 18 of them as pastor of Chicago's famous Moody Memorial Church (now Moody Bible Church). Born in New Zealand in 1899, he went to Bonneville Utah, in 1967, and rode his 1920, Indian motorcycle to fame gaining the world land speed record for a motorcycle, which still stands today.
