Murrell, Ivan 'Coach' b. April 24, 1943 d. October 8, 2006 Major League Baseball Player. Born Ivan Augustus (Peters) Murrell. A native of Almirante, Panama, he was an outfielder and first baseman for ten seasons (1963 to 1964, 1967 to 1974) with the Houston Colt.45s/ Astros, San Diego Padres and Atlanta Braves. Chosen by the Padres during the 1968 expansion draft, Murrell had his best year in 1970 when he had a season high 85 hits and 12 home runs. Trejos, Jose Joaquin b. April 18, 1916 d. February 10, 2010 President of Costa Rica, United Nations Representative. Elected to office without any political experience, he served as president of Costa Rica from May 1966 to May 1970.
